Due to over crowding on the buses, we will no longer be able to issue a bus pass for friends. If your family plans to have a friend over in the afternoon after school, a parent will need to transport the children, unless the friend is a regular passenger on the same bus.

Times are tough! School budgets are tight!
Oil, gas and diesel costs more than budgeted this year! Anything people can do to help? One thing you can do is support the school is collect any "Hannaford Help Schools" certificates that you get at Hannaford or Mr. Market. If you get the certificate at Hannaford in Augusta slip them in the Readfield Elementary slot in the collection booth in the store. If you get the certificate at Mr. Market or a different Hannaford, send the certificates in to the school office. The Help Schools certificates are issued at the store when you purchase participating products from September 4 to December 4, 2008. The school earns cash for school extras through this program. Last year we received a Help Schools check for over $500.00. It all helps especially this year. If you would like more information about the participating products visit www.hannaford.com/hhs.
Celebrating Creativity!
In response to last yearÕs success, REPA will once again be sponsoring the Square 1 Art Fundraiser, at Readfield Elementary. All RES students will receive a free preview magnet made from their artwork. From there, student' s artwork can be transformed into high-quality products, perfect for gift giving! We encourage any siblings or others wanting to participate in this wonderful program to please see Nancy Moorman for the appropriate paper to complete the artwork. All artwork must be returned to the school by October 9th, in order to be processed. If you have any questions, please call Victoria Scott @ 377-3232. Look for more information in upcoming newsletters!
